what is happening at booshoot?

I had every intention to put this post together before events took place so you were aware what was coming ahead. Well with an insanely busy January it never came to pass. So what is the big news at booshoot? I hear you ask.
Well after a quiet family Christmas we stepped up the anti in a big way. We had two amazing weddings which Chris helped me on. Thanks to Liam, Jessica, Frank and Gayle for two memorable days:)(look out for some posts soon). Julie had her mum stay for a week and we all went to Hahndorf for a couple of days. That is a great little town to visit, very picturesque. I had a guy moment and enjoyed seeing a Lamborghini up close and personal. Anyway, I digress. All through this time we were trying to sell our house. We love our house but my day job was moving us away. So to make life interesting on our last weekend in South Australia I was out with Frank and Gayle shooting their wedding on the Saturday, we had people looking at our house on Sunday and removalists packing up on Monday. To top it off we signed the contract of sale on Tuesday:-Dwoohoo! Then we arrived in Canberra our new town on Matthew’s birthday then moved in on the 31st. What a month. Now all our contracted weddings were already aware of this move so it was no surprise for them. I flew back for all our bookings as we didn’t want our valued customers being dealt with the stress of finding someone else at short notice. That is not the booshoot way. I certainly want to thank Chris and Jo for their efforts as second photographers and hosts for my trips. So now after all our Adelaide bookings are completed with just Siona and Ben waiting on their photos we are prepping for a new season in Canberra. During the quiet season we will be working on adapting our presence and marketing to suit the new area.
Keep a look out for some new posts with some fabulous images in the near future.

If you need to contact us the best options are either email us at studio@booshoot.com.au, which can be done in our contact form above. Alternatively call us on our mobiles J: 0422438805 or A: 0422438804.

On behalf of Julie and the team I would like to thank our booshoot family as you put your trust in us to deliver great photos. We have all enjoyed working with you all and appreciate all the kind words and great referrals you have made.

All the best everyone!

Aaron

David and Sam at Seppeltsfield Winery

Winery weddings do have a certain charm. The simplicity of location with the diversity of photographic opportunities makes for a great wedding portrait session. If you are considering a winery for your wedding day. Think about the versatility of the location. Most wineries that open for weddings can provide a ceremony location, a reception hall and plenty of different sites for making great photos. All this in one place. It couldn’t get much better. The biggest benefit I believe is that you don’t need to run around all over the place trying to get great locations. Most wineries come ready prepared. They have gardens, large buildings, barrel rooms, vats, vines to name a few. The older the winery the better the options I believe. Manicured gardens and vintage stone work certainly make for gorgeous backdrops.

David and Sam chose to use Seppeltsfield Winery in the Barossa Valley for their wedding. What a gorgeous location for a wedding shoot. We hope you enjoy this collection of photos.

Riverside Country Wedding Tia-Jane and Tony

My bags were packed and I was flying off to Adelaide for a destination wedding on the Murray River. After years of drought it was great to see the river flowing strongly. Tia-Jane and Tony gave us the privilege to share their wedding day with them on a houseboat moored at the riverside. A small group of family and friends celebrated this lovely couple’s intimate marriage. Tia-jane’s smile in the last photo says it all. Congratulations Tia-Jane and Tony.
